Aims Of The Course

This course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to help prevent FASD, and to more effectively support children and young people living with FASD.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the facts surrounding prenatal alcohol exposure 
  • Explain the difference between Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and other Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) 
  • Describe how FASD impacts the individual 
  • Identify behaviours seen in FASD children 
  • Describe strategies to support children and young people affected by FASD

How this course will be delivered: This 3-hour interactive course will be delivered VIA ZOOM to a small group of up to 15 learners.
